A Draft through the Door
A breeze slides through the open door and lifts the light labels from the table. Nori catches one. Bruno puts a stone on another, hiding the picture he has just learned to recognise. Fina steps into a sheltered corner. Her thin leaf body does not make her the room’s curtain.
Mira arrives with a small scrap and asks which opening actually causes the trouble. Nori points at the whole forest. Fina points at the gap beside the door. They watch a loose thread move there and remain still elsewhere. The problem is smaller than the first answer made it seem.
Two ways forward
They do not seal the room until nobody can see or enter. Bruno shifts the light work to the sheltered side. Nori discovers that some tasks can simply happen in a better place. Mira holds a small cover by the gap while Fina checks that it does not catch a visitor’s path. Which arrangement should they test before declaring that the wind has been solved forever?
Protect loose labels in a tray
A label flutters under Bruno’s basket and disappears. Nori looks accusingly at the breeze. Fina follows the scrape of bark instead. The room cannot ask the forest to stop breathing whenever somebody wants to read a sign. They make a low covered tray that opens from the sheltered side. Fina can see the labels without a stone hiding them. Nori tests the door twice. The little signs stay available when the breeze returns.
A good place to stop
The label stays readable while the breeze moves through. Fina stands comfortably beside her friends. Nori lets the air into the room without expecting it to carry their instructions away.
